BIO
Composer/producer Jon Lamboy makes melodic, theme-oriented atmospheric orchestral scores and instrumental music in a variety of genres including pop, rock, funk, and electronic. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1974, Jon took an early interest in music and took a keen interest in his parents’ musical interests of the day. After moving to Florida in 1982, Jon eventually took up piano and keyboards, and later guitar as he formed a classic rock and Pink Floyd cover band in high school. Upon attending the University of Miami in 1992 on an academic scholarship and majoring in mechanical engineering, Jon was still able to pursue music through practicing piano at the music school during off hours and writing and composing in his dorm room. In 2005, Jon was invited to join the local cover band “Don’t Flinch” as lead guitar player and eventually worked his keyboard playing into the live shows. In 2011 Jon decided to pursue film scoring and enrolled in the Berklee School of music for a film scoring certification. Among Jon’s Berklee professors were Pinar Toprak, who recently composed the score for the major motion picture “Captain Marvel”. In 2018 Jon took additional production-oriented and orchestral classes through Berklee. Jon composes and produces from his home studio in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
